Decide on the material that you want your lanyard to be made from and the printing method
a) Screen printed polyester or nylon lanyards. These are an ideal for text and other designs, are very cost effective and are therefore the most popular. Nylon material is more comfortable to wear but is slightly more expensive than polyester.
b) Heat transfer printed lanyards. These are more suitable for complex designs. The image is printed on to a special media and then transferred onto the lanyard using pressure and heat. Set up costs are more than screen print, so this method is better suited to larger quantities.
c) Woven lanyards. Woven lanyards are extremely durable because the design is stitched into the lanyard material, making it almost indestructible. Not suitable for fine line or complex designs.
We can also manufacture eco friendly lanyards from recycled PE, biodegradable plant silk, bamboo, silicon or even fire retardant material.
How many lanyards do you need?
The minimum order quantity for custom printed lanyards is 100. The larger the quantity ordered, the cheaper the price per lanyard.
How many colours will there be on the lanyard?
Base lanyard colour is white, so blue text on a white background, only counts as one colour. It is possible to choose either one, two, three or full colour printing.
It is possible to colour match Pantone colours, if this is a requirement for corporate logos etc. Just let us have the Pantone reference numbers.
We will need to see a design or artwork before we quote you. If you don’t have anything, we can design your lanyard for a charge of £50 + VAT.
What is the width of the lanyard?
We can supply lanyards in 10mm, 15mm, 20mm and 25mm width, usually 90 cms long. It is worth remembering that, if you have a very detailed logo, a wider lanyard will show it off more clearly.
What kind of clip do you want on your lanyards?
You will have a choice of (a) metal dog clip (b) plastic dog clip (c) trigger clip(d) spring clip (e) crocodile clip (f) card reel with strap(g) key ring
All lanyards are fitted with a plastic safety breakaway clip. This ensures that the lanyards will snap open and that the user will not be injured, if the lanyard becomes entangled or caught up in machinery etc.
Do you need to do single or double sided printing?
We can print on one of both sides of the lanyard. Just advise us which option you want.
Once we have all of this information, we can issue you with a quotation including initial set up costs. If you accept the quotation, a proof will be sent to you for checking a few days after. It is important to note that the manufacturing process will only be started, once this proof has been approved. The usual lead time after proof approval is three - four weeks.
