Datacard® Certified Supplies with the old chip are being phased out and will not be available in 2012. New supplies will not work in printers that have old firmware. That’s why you need to perform the Go Green Upgrade now to prepare your Datacard printers for operation with the new supplies.
Once your Datacard printer has been updated, it can use either old or new supplies, so you can deplete your existing supplies inventory first.
